Kerala Police on Thursday carried out a thorough search of the state Secretariat, the administrative complex, after receiving a bomb threat.
Thiruvananthapuram: Thiruvananthapuram Police rushed to the Kerala Secretariat along with a bomb disposal squad on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat call. Police and the bomb disposal squad searched the secretariat and surrounding areas but found nothing suspicious. The threat call was received at the Kerala Police headquarters, claiming that explosives would be detonated within the Secretariat complex. Police even searched parked vehicles and nearby shops to prevent any untoward incident.
However, after searching the area, they confirmed that it was a hoax threat call. Cops from the Pozhiyoor police station have detained the caller and are questioning him.
