Today is the day of Dhanteras. The atmosphere for this day had started building a few days ago. Even the advocacy of Vocal for Local had started. Which continues even today. PM Narendra Modi has also tweeted on this. He made this tweet on the tweet of Biocon chief Kiran Majumdar. On which he has advocated Vocal for Local.
PM Modi tweeted on the social media platform and said that this festival heralds a self-reliant India! After this tweet, there may be an increase in the purchase of locally made goods and the purchase of Chinese goods may be negligible. Due to which China is likely to suffer a loss of Rs 1 lakh crore.
Every Indian in the country does shopping on the day of Dhanteras, which is celebrated two days before Diwali. This day is also considered very auspicious for shopping. According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), a business of Rs 50 thousand crore is estimated to be done across the country on the day of Dhanteras. On the day of Dhanteras, families mostly buy things like gold and silver jewellery, utensils, utensils, vehicles, clothes and electronics.
Indeed, let’s make this Diwali about the hard work of 140 crore Indians.
It is due to the creativity and relentless spirit of entrepreneurs that we can be #VocalForLocal and further India’s progress.
May this festival herald an Aatmanirbhar Bharat! https://t.co/RgWJW6ZHGh

China may suffer a loss of one lakh crore
During ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in October, Modi had reiterated his point of being ‘vocal for local’. He had said, “Like every time, this time too our priority during festivals should be ‘Vocal for Local’.” Modi had said, “I want to reiterate my request that wherever you are going on a trip or pilgrimage, buy only products made by local artisans. According to ANI report, Vocal for Local is resonating across the country. People of the country are giving importance to locally made products. Looks like a complete boycott of Chinese goods. China is likely to suffer a huge loss of about Rs 1 lakh crore in business related to Diwali.
